Course Goal To review with the learner the basic skills and knowledge to safely and confidently perform his/her duties, and the practical application and use of WHMIS within the provincial guidelines at the workplace.
Rationale WHMIS legislation satisfies the employees right to know about physical, chemical and biological hazards in the workplace. The practical application of WHMIS allows the student to practice the use of the WHMIS system in the event of an emergency.
Pre-requisites: WHMIS coursePre-course Study: Review company policy on Hazardous Materials in the workplace Review locations of MSDS in the workplace
Course Duration: (2 hours) Delivery Modes (Methodology) Lecture/discussions, group exercises, scenarios Credit Upon Successful completion, the participant will receive a Safety and Compliance Training Inc. certificate of achievement entitled “WHMIS” - the practical application.
